Tributes for beloved EastEnders actress

<p dir="ltr">The beloved <em>EastEnders</em> actress June Brown has passed away at the age of 95.</p> <p dir="ltr">June’s devastated family announced the heartbreaking news of her passing on April 3, saying she “died peacefully” at home. </p> <p dir="ltr">“We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved June Brown, OBE, MBE, sadly passed away last night,’ the official <em>EastEnders</em> Twitter account wrote on Sunday. </p> <p dir="ltr">“There are not enough words to describe how much June was loved and adored by everyone at EastEnders, her loving warmth, wit and great humour will never be forgotten.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I would watch, listen and be totally captivated by her. The horrifying reason for the tiny black dots in your kitchen

<p>A woman was left baffled after noticing black dots appearing in her kitchen.</p> <p>Turning to the internet for answers, the nasty truth came forward which would give most people goosebumps.</p> <p>Sharing a photo to the Facebook group Mrs Hinch’s Cleaning Tips, the woman asked: “Does anyone have any idea what these marks could be?”</p> <p>“They started appearing on the tiles in the kitchen in random little patches.</p> <p>“Then this morning this was on top of the PC we have in the kitchen.”</p> <p>The question attracted plenty of homeowners, as it seemed they were familiar with the common problem.</p> <p>“Spider poo,” one user replied.</p> <p>“It washes off with no effort.”</p> <p>“Look above and you will probably see a web/spider,” another said.</p> <p>“It happens a lot this time of year - spiders pooing everywhere,” said a third.</p> <p>“Look closely on skirting boards or walls of your house to see if there is anything unusual resembling a paint splatter,” added a fourth.</p> <p>“If you find any, you are looking at the spider poop.”</p>

Duchess Kate is pretty in polka dots on visit to children’s centre

<p>The Duchess of Cambridge has stepped out Autumn ready at a surprise engagement at the Sunshine House Children and Young People’s Health and Development Centre in London.</p> <p>Opting for a long-sleeved polka dot blouse, which she paired with cropped, wide-legged trousers, the mother-of-three looked picture perfect in her chic attire.</p> <p>Her new hair colour, which she debuted earlier this month while dropping Princess Charlotte off on her first day of school, was styled in her signature blowout.</p> <p>According to Kensington Palace, Kate visited Sunshine House to learn more about the Southwark Family Nurse Partnership National unit, a program in which “parents are partnered with a specially trained family nurse, who visits them regularly from early pregnancy until their child is two.”</p> <p>The 37-year-old met with the team at Sunshine House, which supports young mothers and parents. And her visit was specifically to “further her research and engagement with the Early Years sector,” said Kensington Palace.</p> <p>Recently, Kate has started to focus her attention of supporting families, mothers and young children.</p> <p>The Duchess has a “really strong interest therefore in how you can support mothers and fathers in the earliest months of life of a child and during pregnancy in order to make sure that brain architecture was well supported,” Kate Stanley, the Director or Strategy for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to<span> </span><em>People<span> </span></em>magazine.</p> <p>“And a real compassion about the challenges of that and desire to understand the experiences of the families that some of the people around the table work with.”</p> <p>Scroll through the gallery above to see Kate’s chic ensemble.</p>

Spotted! Princess Mary steps out in stunning polka dot gown

Why we get little white dots under our skin

<p>Most of us are familiar with the little white bumps that sometimes appear on our face and body. Often mistaken for acne, these pin -prick sized globules are actually “milia” or keratin-filled cysts, which form under the skin. They aren’t dangerous but can be annoying and at times, difficult to treat. There are two types of milia; Primary milia, which result from under-developed oil glands, and secondary milia which are caused by trauma to the skin.</p> <p>One of the biggest issues with treating milia is their actual diagnosis. Many people of all ages see a white bump and automatically assume that it’s acne. While milia and your standard whitehead look similar, their composition is very different. A whitehead is the result of excess fat and oil becoming trapped in a hair follicle causing the pore to clog up. Milia, on the other hand are proteins trapped under the skin. Mixing up milia with whiteheads often means that you treat your skin for acne with strongly abrasive or deep cleansing products, which just ends up irritating the milia in the long run.</p> <p>The best treatment for milia is prevention.  Excessive sun exposure, irritation from skin products and fluoridated toothpastes can all cause milia. A gentle skincare routine with fragrance free products is a good place to start.</p> <p>You can also try the following:</p> <ul> <li>Exfoliate once or twice a week with a very gentle product. Avoid harsh scrubs or any product that contains particles or micro-beads as these can be highly irritating.</li> <li>To reduce milia around the eye, use a fragrance and preservative free eye cream for sensitive eyes and try and avoid rubbing the area as much as possible.</li> <li>When choosing a sunscreen, go for one for sensitive skin without fragrance and other additives. A physical, zinc based product as opposed to chemical sunscreen is usually the best choice.</li> <li>When brushing your teeth, try and keep the foam away from the skin around your mouth and rinse the area thoroughly when you’re done brushing.</li> </ul> <p>If these measures aren’t effective or you have a lot of milia that aren’t clearing up, you may need to speak to a beautician or dermatologist who can perform an extraction. As milia as trapped beneath the skin they can be quite stubborn to clear. This little black dot is saving women’s lives

Then why not have a crafternoon and take your glasses from dull to statement making with a few dots of paint? We promise it’s very easy, quick and will cost you next to nothing.<br><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you'll need</strong></span></p><ul><li>A set of drinking glasses</li><li>Acrylic paint in various colours (depends if you want to opt for one colour in various tones or a few different colours)</li><li>Paintbrushes (small tip if you want small dots or larger tip for bigger dots)</li><li>Clear acrylic sealer</li></ul><p><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Instructions</strong></span></p><p>1. Once you have decided on what colours to use (we recommend either three shades of one colour or three different colours), pour out a 20-cent-piece-size amount of the paint.</p><p>2. Dip the end of your paintbrush into the first colour and dot onto the tumbler glass. Continue until you have finished applying that colour. You might want to decide if you want to have your dots starting from the bottom of the glass and work just one-third of the way up, or you might like to cover the entire glass. As you’re applying you first paint colour, be sure to apply the dots sporadically so as to leave space to add the other colours without overcrowding the glass too much.
